Today was the first speed training run of my Run for Water training plan. Marie (friend, neighbor, & workout buddy) & I hit up the local high school’s track for a 6×400 workout. There was a rugby game (something you don’t see in Texas) going on, so we had some entertainment while running. We started out with 2 warm up laps and then went into the main workout. We aimed to do the 400s in under 2 minutes, then followed up each sprint with a recovery lap. I used the manuel interval setting on my Nike watch to record our run.
