The #1 goal of airplanesandtreadmills is making health & fitness available and easy for everyone! And that is what this section is all about! I honestly believe that anyone and everyone can live a healthy life. I know it sounds cliche but it’s true. You can start living a healthy life and creating a healthy lifestyle by making small changes to the way you think, eat, and move. On this page you can find a few simple guidelines for a healthy life.
First things first, throw all of your excuses out the window. Being healthy is literally a life and death situation. It is the difference between simply being alive and truly living! So whatever excuse you are telling yourself, stop. Time, pain, money… whatever it is, it’s a lie. Believe me, you can do this!
One of the greatest accountability tools is social networking. Your family and friends are awesome resources for keeping you in check. My greatest accountability tool is this blog. If I write that I am going to do something (like here), my pride keeps me moving! Knowing that someone might read what I said I was going to do and then see that I did not follow through gives me the drive to keep pushing on. Now you may not have a blog but I know you have a Facebook or Twitter or some other social media account. Use it to motivate yourself! Tell your friends that you are going to workout or brag a little bit after the fact. Whatever it is that gets you up and going, do it!
Make it a priority!
Being healthy should be the most important thing in your life. If you do not make it a priority, you will not get the result you desire. At the start of everyday commit to your health. Schedule time to workout (even if it is only 10 minutes) and eat well.
Living a healthy life is not an instant change or a quick fix. It will not come easy or quick. Remember, Rome wasn’t built in a day. Small changes equal huge change in the long run. Tiny changes like eating 100 less calories a day or by committing to working out for 15 minutes every morning and evening, have the ability to completely alter your well being.
